Vacuum Tool:

  This vacuum gripper is from a series of simple tools for collaborative robots that have been made available under an Open Source Hardware license.

The tools are designed by 4TECH Robotics ApS and based on 3D-printed parts.

A vacuum tool is a classic for robots.
Traditional the suction cup is mounted on a rack and connected to an ejector vacuum pump.

In this new design for a vacuum tool a 3D printed housing contain the ejector pump and have an ø32 mm suction cup at the tip.

This gives a nice and clean tool that is ideal for collaborative use on small robots.




Parts for the tool:

  The vacuum tool consists of a few parts. The 3D-printed housing, a 3D-printed holder for the suction cup and some pneumatic components.

Mounting the tool:

The suction cup is mounted on a holder with a fitting. This unit is then mounted in the housing with 3 screws.

This housing is designed for the Kelvin Tool Changer tool plate.

It can be mounted directly on a robot arm but then you must add openings for the pneumatic lines and signal cable in the housing.
These features are already in the CAD-file.

This is only the 3D-printed plastic parts for the tool. You have to supply the other parts and to assemble the tool your self.
